Pixel Art Tool privacy policy.

The short version

Images you open, generated pixel grids, and edits are processed in your browser. Pixel Art Tool does not upload or store your image files on an application server. There are no user accounts or advertising integrations. The site uses Cloudflare for hosting, security, and privacy-focused aggregate web analytics.

Operator and scope

Pixel Art Tool is operated by Tristan Jarrett. This policy applies to the Pixel Art Tool website, browser-based editor, public guides, and related policy pages. For privacy questions, use the support contact form.

Images, edits, and exports

Uploaded images are decoded using browser APIs. Conversion, painting, and export happen on your device. Pixel Art Tool does not receive a copy of your source image, pixel grid, edit history, or finished export.

A project leaves the browser only when you deliberately download a PNG, SVG, or .pixeltool file and then choose where to store or share it. Services you use after downloading a file have their own privacy practices.

Storage on your device

Pixel Art Tool uses browser storage to provide local features:

• IndexedDB stores browser-local projects on that browser profile. A project may include a source image, generated or blank grid, settings, and manual edits.
• Local storage remembers the selected light, dark, or system theme preference.

The project library can report an approximate storage estimate when the browser provides one and can check whether the browser already reports protection from automatic storage cleanup. These checks do not request access to project contents or send project contents to Pixel Art Tool.

This information remains on the device until you delete a project, clear browser or site data, or the browser removes it. Private-browsing sessions, storage cleanup, quota limits, device loss, and browser changes may remove it. Pixel Art Tool does not silently delete older projects to make space. Even when a browser reports persistent storage, you can still remove the data manually and device or profile loss can make it unavailable. Download an editable project file when you need a durable or portable backup.

Hosting, security, and request information

Cloudflare delivers and protects the site. As part of ordinary hosting and security operations, Cloudflare may process request information such as IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser or user-agent information, network details, security events, and diagnostic logs. This processing is used to route traffic, prevent abuse, maintain availability, and troubleshoot the service—not to inspect locally processed images.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate information about visits and site performance. Available reporting can include page and host, referring site, country, device type, browser, operating system, navigation type, page-load timing, and Core Web Vitals.

Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies, local storage, or fingerprinting to identify visitors and does not track individual visitors across its customers’ sites. Advertising and Google trackers

Pixel Art Tool currently contains no advertising integration, AdSense code, Google Analytics, or Google advertising trackers. If advertising is introduced, this policy will be updated before the advertising technology is enabled to explain the providers, cookies or similar storage, personalization, data sharing, international processing, and consent or opt-out controls that apply.

External links

The site links to an external contact page, developer website, documentation, and third-party licence sources. Their privacy practices apply after you follow a link. Pixel Art Tool does not control how those separate services collect or use information.

Children

Pixel Art Tool is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed specifically to children under 13. It does not offer accounts or knowingly collect children’s personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information through the external support channel can contact the operator using that channel.

Security, retention, and your choices

Reasonable measures are used to protect the site, but no internet service or device storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Locally stored projects and preferences are controlled through your browser. Hosted request and analytics data is retained according to Cloudflare’s applicable service and privacy terms.

Because image and project data is not received by Pixel Art Tool, the operator cannot access, export, correct, or delete that local data for you. Use browser controls to inspect or clear site data. Changes and questions

This notice will be updated when the service’s data practices change. Material changes will be reflected by a revised effective date. Review this page periodically, particularly before using a newly introduced feature.
